OUR APPROACH
Let’s work together to reduce harmful biases and stereotypes through games.
CREATIVITY
Dismantle unconscious biases with creative children's games.
RELATIONSHIP
Enhance the parent-child relationship.
SOCIAL
Improve empathy and social skills.
SELF-ESTEEM
Boost self-esteem.
OUR MISSION
Children form negative biases from a very young age, which can affect their interactions with others and lead to discrimination, bullying, and isolation.
With our app, we aim to counteract this development and educate children about diversity and inequalities before biases become ingrained in their thought patterns and are ultimately passed on.
Occtopus offers games instead of rigid structures, while also encouraging parents to question their own behavior. This can foster a culture of appreciation.
WE DON'T TALK ENOUGH ABOUT DIFFERENCES
Currently, not enough parents are discussing differences in society with their children.
Frequently discuss cultural differences with their children.
Never talk to their children about social classes.
Parents of three to five-year-olds sometimes talk about differences.
IT STARTS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD
Children observe social categories, develop unfair stereotypes and prejudices. Their self-image is based on social norms and a lack of conversations. Biases remain unconscious, reinforcing the cycle.
Gender
Children learn to think in social categories by observing their environment and confronting a cognitive puzzle that needs solving.
Origin
They gather information from their surroundings to form their own beliefs.
Orientation
Children notice how light skin color, heterosexuality, male dominance, a slim figure, and much more are normalized and privileged.

I SUPPORT THIS 100 %
“The earlier we teach the youngest members of our world that exclusion and racism do not lead to harmony and profound happiness, the better. What Occtopus is accomplishing with its idea is long overdue. It’s time for something to change in our society. Finally, a product that makes sense! I support this 100% – because we are all the same!”

Occto is primarily designed for children, offering games and activities tailored to various age groups. We recommend it for children aged 4-12. Parents and guardians are also encouraged to engage with the content alongside their children, fostering a collaborative learning journey.
Your child’s privacy is our top concern. Occto doesn’t retain personal data, and all gameplay is anonymous. We adhere to strict data protection standards to provide a safe and secure user experience.
While we value the educational significance of Occto, we also advocate for a balanced approach to screen time. The 2-hour limit encourages diverse activities like physical play, reading, and quality family interactions.
Occto introduces various games and scenarios that present choices based on daily situations. By analyzing these choices and responses, the app can recognize patterns suggesting biases. Our aim isn’t to label but to understand and educate.
Absolutely. Occto provides non-judgmental feedback, indicating areas of progress and further exploration. This feedback is intended to initiate and enrich conversations between children and caregivers.
